| WHAT WILL YOU DO FOR YOUR FIRST DANCE? Weddings are one of those events that stay etched in our minds forever like a Kodak picture. You can still hear people talking about a friends great wedding dinner menu. You are still retelling the story of your sisters wedding, when your father lifted her veil for the first time and everyone started to cry. These are memories that happen only once in a lifetime. In planning a wedding we take much time in finding: ** the right dress to give us a look "he will never forget" **A most delicious cake that your friends will go off their diet for. **We listen to at least 5 bands to set just the right mood. But what do couples always forget - "How to dance?" or What will we do to for our first dance? Ballroom dancing is a skill that will last long after your cake, and will not go into the box like your dress. What do most couples forget and wait till the last minute? They forget to allow enough time to learn how to dance and so therefore do not look natural- do you know that everyone be looking at you for 3 minutes? How will you look & feel? We all remember those visions of rocking back and forth just like at the high school prom. A couples first dance sets the tone for what the rest of the reception dancing will be. It is almost like when we christen a boat ready to sail, only it is the dance floor. The first dance is also a wonderful gift to your guests,and to yourselves. Just think how your first wedding dance will enhance your photos and video. "First Dance" **Dance Recommendations: When should a couple start? It is important to start your lessons atleast 3-4 months before, if not sooner. We find that when couples start even earlier, they allow themselves a relaxing hobby together and no pressure to learn their songs rhythm, patterns and partnerhsip. How long does it take to learn?-it takes between 6-8 sessions to break from a mechanical feeling. You can't learn anything in 1-2 sessions and look natural. It also varies from one couple to another. If you practice in between sessions you will progress better. |
| SERVICES: Trial dance/music consultation- pre-liminary meeting session- with Maria or one of our wedding specialists A 30minute consult on the music, dance selections, learn the basics of the dances. Costumize your own program afterwards- rate $20 per couple "Internet special" Private personal /Choreography Sessions- One on one sessions designed to work on the partnership,styling and dance/details. The man learns how to guide his lady gracefully and the bride learns how to follow confidently. If a first dance song is chosen- choreography is where we design the dance around the song to fit each part of it. We can also add dips,spins, and incredible movements.A routine is designed to match the song so a couple is well prepared-special choreography is usually suggested (extra) Sessions range -$75-90,Chorsography with Maria varies on song and level you want to achieve Workshops/group/classes/practice sessions- Learn the mechanical parts and different steps of the dances. Group classes also help you to be comfortable around others socially. Sessions are sold in 5-10 week programs. Which can also be added to private session packages. Father & Daughter /Mother & Son Sessions- Learn how to dance with your father or mother to a special chosen song. Wedding Party /Reception- Have your ushers,bridesmaids, & guests learn fun dances to be able to use at the reception. Hire a professional couple to perform at your reception. **rates vary Rehearsal dinner Dance hour- Warm everyone up after the dinner with a lesson. *pre-arranged-rates vary |
